Official Signing Ceremony held for SJTU-GEC Center of Innovative Design for Interdisciplinary  Studies

The SJTU-GEC SJTU-GEC Center of Innovative Design for Interdisciplinary  Studies was formally established. The signing ceremony was held on December 12th, 2021, and thanks to Professor Xie Youbai, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and many leading experts for attending the event. Leaders of relevant school departments from more than ten top universities, including Southeast University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Nanjing University, South China Institute of Technology, and Beijing Institute of Technology, participated online. Academician Xie inaugurated the center on behalf of Shanghai Jiaotong University.

 

The establishment of the University-level center marks a new step for GEC in cultivating internationalized interdisciplinary talents in universities. It combines the resources of Shanghai Jiaotong University, cross-sector cooperation. The center will cooperate with domestic higher education and professional institutions and will be based on scientific-oriented studies. The center will provide schools and students with quality international and interdisciplinary studies and services.
