A recent video conference between CAEE and UUK called for establishing an exchange mechanism to discuss issues of mutual concern, deepen mutual trust, and expand cooperation. The two organizations also are willing to promote inter-school cooperation between Chinese and British universities, and jointly organize forums, annual meetings and exchanges of students and scholars. 2022 also marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of ambassadorial-level diplomatic relations between China and the UK. CAEE and UUK agreed to seize this opportunity to carry out pragmatic cooperation in four aspects:

 

1) to jointly participate in the international governance of higher education, and focus on how to improve higher education during the pandemic; to organize experts and scholars to carry out joint research;

 

2) to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and British schools, promote inter-school scientific research cooperation, teacher exchanges and mutual visits, and students training;

 

3) to establish a normalized exchange mechanism, through mutual visits at annual meetings, co-organization of international conferences, to continuously improve understanding and sign cooperation memorandums in a timely manner;

 

4) UUK is invited to participate in the higher education international Forum Annual Meeting, China Higher Education Expo and other major events.
