UNESCO 2021 Global Education High-level Conference

On November 10, UNESCO Director-General Azoulay, Education Assistant Director-General Janini, French President Macron, Ethiopian President, Chairman of the International Committee for the “Future of Education” Zudd and more than 30 other heads of state and ministers of education attended the meeting. President Xi Jinping’s special representative and Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng attended the UNESCO 2021 Global Education High-Level Conference and delivered a speech.


Huai Jinpeng pointed out that education is an important cornerstone of human civilization, national rejuvenation and social progress. The Chinese government insists on giving priority to the development of education. During the pandemic, China carried out the largest online education in history covering 300 million people, realizing school-closure without suspension of classes. Huai Jinpeng emphasized that China is currently committed to building a high-quality education system so that all Chinese people can enjoy better and fairer education. China is willing to work hand in hand with the international community to implement the 2030 Education Agenda, and work hard to build a community with a shared future for humanity.
