GEC is pleased to host the New Faculty Orientation to welcome our new faculties and mentor to the GEC community. For the past five years or so, GEC has experienced a tremendous growth. Back in 2017 and 2018, we held at most 10 programs each month. Now, during the past January and February, we held almost 200 programs and served over 3500 students. We can’t emphasize more on the contribution of our faculty team to GEC’s significant growth. Last year, more than 100 new faculties and 150 new mentors joined our team.

With the sunset of the winter peak season, we believe now it’s a good time to host the Annual New Faculty Orientation to welcome every new member to the community. This is a schedule of informational and interactive activities to help new faculty member enhance their teaching experience at GEC. We believe it’s a fantastic opportunity to engage and ask question to the GEC team and senior faculties and mentors.

Here is a tentative outline of the orientation:

  1. GEC History: Brief profile of the founders, The Company Background and Mission Statement, Major Turning Points, etc.

  2. Senior Faculties Share Their Teaching Experience at GEC: what are the challenges and how did they overcome them?

  3. Introduction of New Faculty Members: Affiliation & Research Interest, What do you like about working at GEC? Any improvement needed?

  4. (Get-to-know through Show-and-tell: Simply choose a photo that you want to share with us, it could be a family photo, pictures of a favorite vacation or significant event, a photo yourself as a child, or pictures of pets, anything that you find appropriate to help us and other teachers to get to know you better.)
